You control a cursor that moves to the beat. Your job is to click on the notes as they scroll toward a target line, trying to match the timing of the song. The game uses a familiar system of different note types, like holds and consecutive taps, to keep things varied. The pace picks up as the track continues, and missing too many notes can end your run.
