About Dragon Gem

Dragon Gem was one of those games you'd find in the later days of the Flash era, a straightforward action platformer that loaded right in your browser. It didn't try to be anything more than a quick, engaging way to pass some time. The visuals were simple, and the controls were immediate, which was typical for many games from that period.

You control a knight, moving left and right across the screen, jumping between platforms. Your sword is your main tool, used to strike at the various monsters that approach. Gems and other items drop from defeated enemies or appear in the environment, and collecting them is a constant focus. The main goal is to clear each stage of all enemies to progress to the next, with the challenge gradually increasing as you go. The pacing is brisk, and the difficulty feels fair, asking for decent timing with your attacks and jumps. It feels like a focused, no-frills test of your basic platforming and combat reflexes.
