About Downhill Joe
Downhill Joe was one of those games you'd find on a Flash portal in the early 2000s. It had a simple premise that fit right into the era of quick, browser based distractions. The game was developed by a studio called J2B, and it had a certain look and feel that was common for the time.
You control Joe, a snowboarder who slides automatically down a mountain. Your job is to guide him with the mouse, moving left and right to avoid obstacles like trees, rocks, and, yes, people in bikinis. The main goal is to collect coins scattered along the path and reach the finish line without crashing. You can perform tricks by moving the mouse in certain patterns, which adds to your score. The game moves at a brisk pace, and the difficulty comes from the increasingly cluttered course. It feels like a frantic balancing act, a test of reflexes more than strategy.
