About Downhill Adventure
Downhill Adventure was one of those simple, absorbing games you'd find during the Flash era. It didn't try to be anything more than a quick diversion, the kind of thing you'd play in a browser tab between tasks. The controls were straightforward, and the goal was clear from the start.
You control a character, often a little guy on a sled or skateboard, guiding him down a sloping course. The main objective is to get to the bottom without crashing. You use your mouse to steer left and right, dodging trees, rocks, and other hazards that appear with little warning. The game gives you three lives, and you lose one each time you hit something. The pace picks up as you go, making the later sections a tense scramble. It feels like a race against your own reflexes, a test of simple focus that becomes surprisingly tense.
