About Different Picture
Different Picture was one of those straightforward Flash games you'd find in the mid-2000s. It didn't have a complicated story or fancy graphics. It was just a simple idea executed cleanly, the kind of thing you'd play during a short break. I remember it being around in 2006 or 2007, though I couldn't tell you who made it. It fit right in with other quick puzzle games from that era.
You control a cursor, clicking between two nearly identical side-by-side images. Your job is to find and mark all the differences, usually five or ten of them, before a timer at the top of the screen counts down to zero. The changes can be subtle: a missing leaf on a tree, a slightly different color on a window, or an object that has vanished entirely. The pace starts relaxed but gets more urgent as the seconds tick away, especially on later levels where the differences are smaller and the time allotted is shorter. It feels like a quiet, focused race against the clock.
