About City Racer 2

City Racer 2 was one of those straightforward driving games you'd find during the Flash era. It didn't try to be a simulation. You just opened it in a browser and started driving. The game had a simple premise that fit right into that time of quick, accessible online play.

You control a car from a top-down perspective, weaving through city traffic. The main goal is to finish each race in first place. You use the arrow keys to accelerate, brake, and steer, while the spacebar gives you a temporary nitro boost for passing opponents. Some versions let you drop obstacles, like oil slicks, to hinder the cars behind you. The traffic is constant, and the other racers are aggressive, so the difficulty comes from managing tight spaces at high speed. It feels frantic and immediate, a test of quick reflexes more than careful strategy.
