About Child's War
Child's War was one of those games you'd find in the late 2000s, tucked away on a Flash game portal. It belonged to a wave of simple, cartoonish arena fighters that were easy to pick up during a free period or a lazy afternoon. The premise was straightforward, centering on a group of girls engaged in a persistent, playful rivalry.
You choose one of the girls and are dropped into a small, contained map, like a lab or a sewer. The controls are basic: arrow keys to move and adjust your aim, and the spacebar to act. Your main goal is to defeat the other characters using whatever weapons you can buy or find. You start with a small amount of coins to purchase initial gear, which adds a thin layer of strategy before the chaos begins. The pacing is quick, with fights erupting almost immediately upon meeting another character. The difficulty comes from the confined spaces and the immediate aggression of your opponents. It feels like a hectic, unserious skirmish where the objective is simply to outlast everyone else in a burst of cartoon violence.
