About Breakpoint
Breakpoint was one of those games you'd find on a Flash portal in the late 2000s. It had a simple premise that fit right into the era of quick, browser-based action. You controlled a lone soldier dropped into hostile territory, and the goal was straightforward: survive.
You view the action from a top-down perspective, moving your soldier with the mouse. Enemies, represented as red dots, appear on a radar at the screen's edge. Your job is to rotate and shoot them before they close in. The mechanics are built around this constant scanning and reaction; you fire with a click, and managing the spacing between you and the approaching threats is key. The pacing is relentless, with waves coming faster as you progress, creating a steady climb in tension. It feels like a tense, focused test of your awareness and reflexes.
