About Bomb It
Bomb It was one of those games you'd find on a Flash gaming site in the mid-2000s. It didn't try to reinvent the wheel. It was a straightforward take on the multiplayer arena bomber formula, perfect for a quick session between classes or during a slow afternoon. You'd load it up in your browser, pick a colorful character, and jump into a maze of destructible blocks.
You control a little character from an overhead view, running through a grid-based arena. Your main goal is to be the last one standing by blowing up your opponents with bombs. You place a bomb, it ticks down, and the resulting explosion shoots out in a cross pattern, breaking soft blocks and hopefully catching another player in the blast. You can collect power-ups that appear from broken blocks; these might increase your bomb's blast radius, let you drop more bombs at once, or give you a speed boost. The pacing is fast, often frantic, as you try to trap others while avoiding getting caught in your own explosions or being boxed in. It feels like a chaotic, lighthearted scramble where a single mistake can end your round.
