About Blueshift

Blueshift was one of those games you'd find on a Flash portal in the late 2000s. It was a side-scrolling shooter, the kind that loaded quickly and pulled you in with clean, colorful graphics. You piloted a small, agile ship through scrolling levels filled with enemy formations and obstacles.

You control the ship with the arrow keys, weaving through bullet patterns and alien craft. The main goal is straightforward: survive to the end of each stage by clearing out the opposition. You collect power-ups to swap between different weapon types, each with its own firing pattern. A shield button offers a moment of protection, and a separate key unleashes a screen-clearing EMP blast for tight situations. The pace is steady, building to dense, challenging confrontations with larger enemies. It feels responsive and direct, a game about quick reflexes and managing your limited special abilities.
