About Black 3

Black 3 was one of those games you'd find on a Flash gaming site in the late 2000s. It was part of a series of simple, top-down shooters that ran right in your browser. You didn't need to download anything, and it loaded in seconds. That was the appeal of Flash games; they were quick to start and easy to understand.

You control a lone operative from a fixed overhead view. Your job is to clear rooms of enemy stick figures. You move with the WASD keys, using the mouse to aim and fire. A quick tap of the spacebar lets you dash, which is crucial for dodging incoming fire. You can switch between weapons like a pistol and a shotgun, and you have to remember to reload. The goal is straightforward: survive each wave and eliminate all hostiles. The pace is fast, and the difficulty ramps up quickly as more enemies appear. It feels tense and immediate, a test of reflexes more than strategy.
