About XS: Shield Up, Fight Back

XS is a first-person shooter set in a future where gladiatorial combat has been revived. The player character enters these lethal contests after learning about them from an associate previously thought dead, aiming to uncover a mystery.

Gameplay consists of arena battles that simulate a single-player deathmatch. Combat is challenging, with each round being a free-for-all where only the most ruthless survive. Standard first-person shooter mechanics like strafing and jumping are present, sometimes involving platform navigation.

A distinctive feature is the high stakes of each fight. Defeat means death, with the added consequence that the loser's remains are processed into fast food. Before each match, the player selects two weapons to use.
