About Vikings: Fields of Conquest – Kingdoms of England II

Vikings: Fields of Conquest - Kingdoms of England II is a turn-based medieval strategy game where players control a Lord and a kingdom. The objective is to become the Sole Ruler of England by managing territory and commanding armies.

Gameplay involves both military command and domestic management of a kingdom's infrastructure. Players must develop their society to generate wealth, which in turn funds army expansion for territorial conquest. Control is executed primarily through a mouse interface.

Two distinct scenarios define the opposition. One allows for competition against up to five other human players, where all participants follow the same rules of development and conquest. The other scenario is challenging, pitting a human against up to five computer-controlled Viking warlords. These AI opponents bypass societal development, focusing solely on plunder and acting as aggressive barbarians, which requires the human player to employ a more strategic and constructive long-term approach to succeed.
