About The Orion Conspiracy

The Orion Conspiracy is a graphical adventure set on a space station called Cerberus. The player controls Devlin McCormack, a retired veteran who arrives to mourn his estranged son Danny, only to become the prime suspect in a subsequent murder investigation. His search for the real killer, who is also framing him, is complicated by an invasion of hostile shape-shifting aliens.

Interaction uses a point-and-click interface with a third-person perspective, where actionable objects are highlighted. Selecting an object presents a set of possible actions via on-screen icons. Dialogue with other characters unfolds through conversation trees and features both voice acting and subtitles. The game is noted for its explicit adult content, including frequent profanity and violent themes not commonly found in other titles of its era.

Initial progression focuses on gathering information through dialogue, exploring the murder mystery and the station's corporate dynamics. Later, the gameplay shifts toward more challenging environmental puzzles, often requiring quick thinking to escape lethal situations. Unlike many contemporary adventures, it avoids incorporating action-oriented arcade sequences.
