About The Charge of the Light Brigade

The game simulates a specific 1854 Crimean War engagement where Russian forces significantly outnumbered the allied British, French, and Turkish defenders at Balaclava. Players assume command of either the Allied or Russian side, with the option for human or computer opposition.

As a real-time strategy title, it features adjustable battle speed to control the pacing. Command is exercised through two distinct interfaces: one for directing single units and another for managing pre-defined groups of up to eight units simultaneously. These units are depicted as small animated figures that can be arranged into several preset military formations, including lines, columns, and squares.
