About Sint Nicolaas

Sint Nicolaas is a DOS platform game drawing from Dutch Sinterklaas tradition. The player controls Sint Nicolaas, whose sack of presents and gingerbread cookies has been stolen, leaving items scattered across rooftops.

Gameplay involves navigating these rooftops while collecting dropped items and avoiding hazards like birds and TV antennas. Collected presents trail behind the character in a chain, and each must be delivered to a chimney marked with a matching colored box. The first present picked up must be delivered first, which can require challenging backtracking in later levels when presents and chimneys do not appear in sequence.

Additionally, chimneys display a number indicating how many cookies must be delivered there. After completing a main level, a timed bonus stage tasks the player with gathering one hundred cookies, featuring platforms that vanish when stepped on.
