About Secret Agent

Secret Agent is a side scrolling platform game where the player assumes the role of Agent 006. The mission involves infiltrating islands controlled by the D.V.S. terrorist group to recover stolen blueprints for the Red Rock Rover weapon. The full registered game contains three episodes, while the shareware release offers only the first.

Progress requires completing fifteen levels to unlock a final main fortress stage. Each level has consistent objectives: locate and destroy a radar dish, then find dynamite to blast open the exit. The player navigates environments filled with human and robotic enemies, as well as instant death hazards like acid pools and spikes. Some laser barriers must be disabled by retrieving a specific floppy disk and using it at a terminal.

Agent 006 is equipped with a rifle effective against most foes, though some enemies require different tactics or are immune to bullets. The character has three health points and unlimited lives, but certain dangers cause immediate death. Strategic use of the environment is necessary, such as moving barrels to create platforms for reaching higher areas, provided they are not lost.

Collectible items are scattered throughout the levels. These include ammunition, score boosting objects like money bags and briefcases, and temporary power ups. Power ups have varied effects, such as increased speed, enhanced firing rate, or the revelation of hidden platforms. Some items, however, are detrimental, temporarily reversing controls or slowing movement. A significant score bonus is awarded for finding and collecting the letters S, P, and Y in the correct sequence on a level, a task noted as challenging.
