About Protostar: War on the Frontier

Protostar: War on the Frontier is a space exploration and trading title. Its design shares similarities with games like Starflight and Star Control.

The setting involves a galactic conflict where humanity, represented by the Newfront organization, faces a threat from the Skeetch aliens. A central objective is to secure alliances with four other alien species through the Protostar Initiative.

Player activities are multifaceted, encompassing planetary surface surveys for materials and the discovery of new worlds and life forms, which can be named. Interaction with alien civilizations involves diplomacy, commerce, and combat. Managing a ship's crew and improving the economic standing of human factions are also part of the gameplay systems.
