About Pirates! Gold

Pirates! Gold is a DOS title that combines strategic, action, and adventure elements. The player assumes the role of a new pirate operating in the 17th century Caribbean, known as the Spanish Main.

Gameplay offers multiple paths to success, from trading and treasure hunting to the more aggressive pursuit of raiding ships. The experience can differ with each playthrough, influenced by the player's choice to specialize in a particular skill. Towns across the region each present their own unique risks and opportunities.

Direct combat is handled through separate, side-view action sequences for sword fighting.
