About Global Effect

Global Effect is a strategy game where players develop cities and engage in military conquest. Its mechanics are noted as being comparable to titles like The Settlers and Civilization.

Establishing a viable settlement requires managing housing, food, and power infrastructure. The initial power level is limited, and increasing it effectively relies on building environmental elements, with trees being the most efficient option. The chosen world setting, which can range from icy to post-apocalyptic, directly impacts these tasks, making the overall experience challenging under more severe conditions.

Military action becomes possible once a self-sufficient city is established. Units are deployed using pre-set flight paths that remain adjustable during engagements. The game also supports two-player competition via a null-modem cable connection, even between different computer systems.
