About DarkSpyre

DarkSpyre is a top-down dungeon crawler where the player guides a custom hero through a tower constructed by three deities. This structure contains fifty maze-like levels, with thirty-nine required to finish the quest. The core objective involves locating five runes to prevent global catastrophe.

Character creation includes selecting gender and a magical focus, either for healing or attack purposes. Combat is action-based, with the hero facing various monsters while exploring. Equipment management is a key system, as weapons can break and armor degrades with prolonged use.

Progression is tied to practice, with repeated use of a specific weapon or spell increasing the character's proficiency with it. Magical abilities are not innate but are acquired from scrolls discovered within the tower. The overall structure and systems suggest a challenging experience focused on exploration and combat.
