About CyClones

CyClones is a first-person shooter set in a future where Earth has been overrun by hostile alien Cybernetic Clones. The player assumes the role of Havoc, a cybernetic warrior who was once under their control and now fights to stop them.

Gameplay involves navigating maze-like environments and engaging in combat using various firearms. A key technical feature was its early implementation of mouse control, which decoupled aiming from movement and allowed free cursor placement. The player can access three-dimensional maps and manage an inventory of collected power-ups that provide combat advantages.

While primarily focused on action, the experience includes occasional challenging segments that deviate from standard combat, requiring stealth to avoid enemy detection. CyClones also incorporated a tutorial level to introduce its mechanics, a first for the genre at the time.
