About Cohort: Fighting for Rome

Fighting for Rome presents tactical warfare in a real-time format, focusing on engagements between Roman military forces. The composition of armies is not fixed, as players can determine both their scale and the types of units deployed.

Command during battles is facilitated by a pausing function, allowing orders to be issued without time pressure. This makes the pacing fair for managing diverse forces such as infantry, archers, and mounted troops. Leadership elements are included, with generals capable of inspiring their soldiers on the field.

Combat occurs across a selection of three distinct maps, each offering different terrain for strategic consideration.
