About Cavewars

Cavewars is a turn based strategy title where players select from eight distinct races, with each session unfolding on a randomly generated map. This design guarantees that no two playthroughs will be identical.

The strategic layer incorporates mechanics familiar from other series, such as unit research and army development. Combat is distinguished by its multi layered cave system, allowing separate battles to occur simultaneously on different underground levels regardless of conditions elsewhere.

Battles are fully automated, like in the Warlords series, but they are animated and show the progress in real time.
Units can be quickly added to or removed from a stack via this menu.
You can also view detailed information about every unit in the stack, and dismiss some of the if necessary.
Cavewars allows to design your own units by combining weapons and armour that are made from different materials.
Enemy units, both in the open and garrisoned in cities, only become visible when they are in the sight range of the player's own units.
Mithril (blue) is the strongest material, and even the basic weapons and armour that are crafted from mithril make units a lot more powerful.
