About Carriers at War

Carriers at War is a strategic wargame that simulates naval air operations in the Pacific theater from 1941 to 1945. Players assume command of a carrier task force across six historical battles, such as Midway and the Coral Sea.

The title is a remake of an earlier version, now featuring a redesigned windowed interface and animated combat sequences. Gameplay enhancements allow for the individual inspection and command of aircraft, moving beyond squadron-level management.

Other mechanical changes include a fire damage system for ships, where flames can spread if not contained but may also be repaired. The artificial intelligence has been adjusted to operate with incomplete information, creating a more challenging opponent that mimics human decision-making.
