This martial arts simulator challenges you to train and customize a fighter's stats and moveset for brutal, strategic ring battles.

Best of the Best: Championship Karate was originally released in 1990 for Amiga and Atari ST. The DOS version was released in 1992 by Loriciels.

About Best of the Best: Championship Karate

Best of the Best Championship Karate presents a simulation of a fighter's career. A key element is managing a character's core attributes, which can be developed through dedicated gym sessions.

Preparation is challenging because entering a match unprepared carries a risk. Defeat will directly lower your fighter's vital statistics, making subsequent bouts more difficult. Success therefore depends on a cyclical process of improving skills through training and then testing them in competition.

Players begin by selecting a combatant, evaluating initial ratings in areas like power and endurance. The fighting system offers a wide array of over fifty distinct techniques to employ during matches.
