Review

This fighting game compilation combines 22 characters with improved graphics, but mastering its stiff controls is the key challenge.

About Ultimate Body Blows

Ultimate Body Blows is a compilation title that merges content from two earlier fighting games. It was released exclusively on CD, a format which also allowed the in-game soundtrack to be played directly from the disc.

The package includes all material from the original Body Blows and its sequel, Body Blows Galactic, which was previously only on the Amiga. Enhancements over the earlier versions consist of graphical improvements with more colors and additional backgrounds, along with more music and multiple endings. The roster totals 22 characters, incorporating figures such as the invincible Max and his true form, known as the Terminator T17. Various fixes were also implemented in this combined release.
