About X-Zone

X-Zone is a first-person light gun title for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System. The player operates a weapon to target robotic enemies and the projectiles they fire, with progression requiring the destruction of these threats.

The setting involves a facility called Compound X, where a central bio-computer has malfunctioned. This system, designated X-Tra, is attacking indiscriminately and has initiated a global nuclear countdown. The player's objective is to penetrate the X-Termination zone to reach and disable this computer, preventing planetary annihilation.

Levels typically conclude with a confrontation against a boss entity. These encounters are challenging, as each boss follows set attack patterns and requires its individual systems or weapons to be precisely targeted and destroyed.
