WWF Super WrestleMania

Review

Features a tug of war grappling system in one on one, tag team, and Survivor Series matches.

WWF Super WrestleMania was released for the SNES in 1992 by Sculptured Software/Flying Edge; it was the original game, not a port, so both years are 1992.

About WWF Super WrestleMania

WWF Super WrestleMania is a professional wrestling video game based on the World Wrestling Federation. Its core grappling mechanic is a challenging button-mashing sequence where two wrestlers vie for control in a tug-of-war style struggle. While all characters can perform a common repertoire of standard moves, the Genesis version distinguishes itself by granting each wrestler unique signature techniques.

Match formats include singles, tag team, and a four-on-four Survivor Series mode. An additional championship tournament mode is exclusive to the Genesis release, tasking a player with guiding a single wrestler through a series of one-on-one matches to claim the title.
