Review
Also known as
スーパーボンバーマン3

This strategic action game features refined 16-bit multiplayer mayhem with support for up to five players.

Super Bomberman 3 was released for the Super Famicom (SNES) in Japan in 1995; it was not released on other platforms, so the original release year is also 1995.

About Super Bomberman 3

Super Bomberman 3 is a multiplayer focused entry in the series, expanding the player count to five through the use of a multitap accessory. The roster of playable characters was broadened beyond the traditional Bomberman, offering a selection of different avatars.

Gameplay mechanics received significant additions, including a variety of new power-ups. One notable item is the Kangaroo, which grants an extra hit point and enables abilities such as high speed movement, bomb jumping, and laying multiple bombs in a line. Another new system allows eliminated players to continue participating by throwing bombs from the sidelines in an attempt to re-enter the match.

This installment represents a comprehensive revision of the established formula, introducing new stages and narrative elements alongside its expanded features.
