About Spider-Man / Venom: Maximum Carnage

Spider-Man / Venom: Maximum Carnage is a side-scrolling beat-em-up where players engage in combat using punches, jump kicks, and specialized web-based abilities. These abilities include functions like creating a defensive shield and swinging through the environment.

The narrative, which draws inspiration from a comic book storyline, begins with the villain Carnage escaping confinement and initiating a violent rampage. In response, Spider-Man takes action to confront this threat.

While Spider-Man is the initial character, the player is occasionally presented with a choice to control Venom instead. Selecting a different character leads to branching paths through the game's levels.
