About Oscar

Oscar is a platform game where the player navigates a character through themed Hollywood environments. The objective involves collecting a specific number of Academy Award statues to finish each stage.

Players can tackle the game's areas in a non-linear fashion, as progress unlocks doors in a central hub. The themed worlds include settings such as Science Fiction, Western, and Horror, among others.

Movement through levels involves running and jumping, with enemies that can be evaded or defeated by landing on them. Defeating foes and gathering certain items can grant abilities like temporary invulnerability, enhanced jumps, or a tool for destroying obstacles.

The content varies by platform; the SNES release features a reduced number of worlds compared to other versions, which include additional exclusive stages.
