About Killer Instinct

Killer Instinct is a two-dimensional versus fighting game set in a futuristic scenario. The narrative centers on a tournament organized by the Ultratech corporation, which draws participants for various reasons, from seeking glory to opposing the company's actions. Among the combatants are experimental warriors created by Ultratech itself.

The roster consists of ten selectable fighters, including Orchid, Jago, and Fulgore. A defining characteristic of its gameplay is a combo system that emphasizes lengthy sequences of attacks, with the most extensive known as an Ultra Combo. Defensive options include combo breakers, and matches can conclude with special finishing moves. The presentation utilizes sprite based graphics rendered from three dimensional models, accompanied by a techno soundtrack.

To escalate the tournament's stakes, Ultratech employs dimensional technology, releasing the ancient two headed warrior Eyedol. This creature was previously imprisoned alongside its rival, Gargos. The game's mechanics incorporate features like dual energy bars for each fighter.
