About James Pond 2: Codename: RoboCod

James Pond 2: Codename: RoboCod is a side-scrolling platformer where the protagonist must recover stolen toys. The antagonist, Dr. Maybe, has taken these items, setting the stage for the adventure.

Levels are organized into distinct worlds, each based on a specific toy theme like sports equipment or aircraft. Progression involves navigating these horizontally scrolling stages, which also allow for some vertical exploration. A key objective in every level is to locate and collect two penguins before finding an exit.

The player character utilizes a stretching device, reminiscent of Inspector Gadget, which enables extended reach and the ability to cling to and traverse ceilings. The structure of the game requires completing pairs of worlds, each containing three sub-levels, after which a boss confrontation occurs. Exploration is encouraged through the presence of multiple exits and numerous hidden areas within the stages.
