About Heisei Shin Onigashima: Zenpen

Heisei Shin Onigashima: Zenpen is a Super Nintendo adventure game adapting the first half of the Momotaro legend. The narrative follows the hero's quest to confront a tribe of ogres and claim their treasure, with assistance from animal companions.

Player interaction is managed through a menu of context-sensitive commands. Beyond standard options like examining objects, unique abilities such as a dog's sense of smell are available. Movement is sometimes handled by directly guiding a character through the environment.

The game's structure is divided into two substantial chapters, each focusing on a different animal ally. The initial chapter centers on the dog Ringo, while the subsequent one features the monkey Matsunosuke.
