About Doraemon 3: Nobita to Toki no Hōgyoku

Doraemon 3: Nobita to Toki no Hōgyoku is an action platformer derived from the Doraemon manga. The narrative centers on Nobita, a boy whose future descendant sends the robotic cat Doraemon back in time to aid him. A plot involving a damaged fossil prompts the use of a time machine to journey to the prehistoric era.

Gameplay involves controlling multiple characters, including Nobita and Doraemon, each equipped with a unique weapon and a special ability necessary for progression. For instance, certain stages require a character who can navigate tight spaces. The experience blends side scrolling platform levels, where enemies must be dealt with, with top down exploration of a modern town. In this town view, players interact with characters and enter buildings.

The design incorporates light role playing elements, such as purchasing items and enhancing weapons. The structure alternates between action oriented platforming segments and slower paced exploration and conversation.
