Review
Also known as
A Ilha da Garganta Cortada

Control Morgan in a side scrolling sword fighting adventure to assemble a treasure map.

Cutthroat Island for SNES was developed by Software Creations and published by Acclaim/LJN in 1995, the same year as the film; no earlier platform version exists.

About Cutthroat Island

Cutthroat Island is a side scrolling action title where the player controls Morgan, a pirate who inherits a partial treasure map from her father. The objective is to locate the remaining map fragments to discover a hidden treasure on the island that gives the game its name.

Combat is a central mechanic, consisting of one on one sword fights against various adversaries. A progression system allows the player to unlock additional attack combinations as they advance through the game. This SNES release is an adaptation of a film with the same title.
