Captain America and the Avengers

Review
Also known as
Capitão América e os Vingadores

Control four heroes in a side-scrolling brawl and shooter to stop Red Skull's global conquest.

Captain America and the Avengers was released in arcades by Data East in 1991; the SNES port was released in North America in 1992.

About Captain America and the Avengers

Captain America and the Avengers is a side-scrolling beat 'em up supporting up to four players at once. Players control one of four Marvel heroes: Captain America, Iron Man, Hawkeye, or Vision. Their objective is to stop Red Skull and his assembled team of villains from world conquest.

The adventure spans five distinct stages. While brawling through side-scrolling environments forms the core activity, several stages shift to a shooting perspective. These segments involve airborne, underwater, and space-based combat against various threats.

Opposing the heroes is a roster of boss villains including Living Laser, Klaw, Whirlwind, Grim Reaper, Wizard, Mandarin, Juggernaut, Ultron, Controller, and Crossbones, culminating in a confrontation with Red Skull. Two additional Marvel characters, Quicksilver and the Wasp, provide limited support during gameplay by delivering power-ups and defensive aid.

I'd sure as hell like to know who the fucker is supposed to represent... Kinda looks like a mix between Juggernaut and The Hulk (due to all that green). Only... smaller.
