Bonkers

Bonkers for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System is an action platformer derived from its Disney television counterpart. The player controls the bobcat police officer Bonkers, who inhabits a cartoon world known as toondom.

The central plot involves the theft of three valuable Hollywood treasures: the Sorcerer's Hat, the Mermaid's Voice, and the Magic Lamp. Bonkers and his partner Lucky must recover these items by apprehending the thieves responsible.

Gameplay involves navigating levels using jumps and a dashing attack. This dash can be used to defeat enemies by throwing them aside and can also destroy certain environmental obstacles. An alternative method for dispatching foes is to jump directly on their heads. Various collectible items are available during play, including restorative cakes, throwable bombs, and hyper juice which enables a continuous dash.

This SNES release is noted as being completely distinct from the version developed for the Sega Genesis, sharing only the underlying license.
