Battle Clash

Review
Also known as
Space Bazooka スペースバズーカ

A light gun game where you pilot a tank and target enemy weak points in an auto scrolling arena.

Battle Clash (Space Bazooka) was released for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES) in 1992, and this is the original platform and release year for the game.

About Battle Clash

Battle Clash is a Super Nintendo title requiring the Super Scope light gun for play. The setting is a futuristic world where a warrior named Michael Anderson participates in a tournament called the Battle Game.

Combat involves piloting mobile Standing Tanks, or STs, which possess different weapon systems and configurations. The gameplay is challenging as stages progress automatically, locking the player into a fixed scrolling sequence. This design prevents manual evasion, forcing a defensive strategy where incoming projectiles must be destroyed by the player's own shots.

Success hinges on targeting specific weak points on enemy armor to inflict damage, rather than firing indiscriminately. Each opponent presents a distinct armored form that must be analyzed during the encounter.
