Rescue Yuri using special moves governed by a depletable Spirit meter.

Art of Fighting was originally released in arcades in 1992. The SNES version was released in 1993 (Japan in October 1993, North America in December 1993).

About Art of Fighting

Art of Fighting is a fighting game set in South Town, where the narrative follows Ryo Sakazaki and Robert Garcia as they investigate the kidnapping of Yuri Sakazaki. Their search reveals connections to organized crime and unresolved history.

Mechanically, the game introduces a Spirit meter that depletes when special moves are used. Recharging this meter is possible but leaves the player vulnerable, making resource management challenging. A hidden, powerful attack becomes accessible when health is critically low, provided the Spirit meter is full.

Certain characters from the arcade release, specifically Mr. Big and Mr. Karate, are not available as playable fighters.
