Hurrican

Battle the nightmare-creating Morgul across 13 levels in this side-scrolling shooter. Collect 10 weapons to survive its challenging worlds.

Turrican was originally released in 1990 for Amiga, Atari ST, and other computer platforms. The Sega Genesis/Mega Drive version was released in 1992 by Accolade in North America and by U.S. Gold in Europe.

About Turrican

Turrican is a side scrolling shoot-em up where the protagonist must confront a threat that has escaped from dreams into reality. The antagonist, a three-headed demon named Morgul, has been making nightmares physically manifest.

The core actions involve shooting, jumping, and exploration across a substantial adventure comprising five worlds and thirteen levels. While the basic controls are straightforward, the experience is considered challenging.

A significant aspect of play is the acquisition and application of an arsenal. Turrican can obtain ten distinct weapons, and discovering how to use them effectively is a central focus of the gameplay.
