Scooby-Doo Mystery

Review

Solve two point-and-click mysteries by collecting clues as Scooby and Shaggy.

Scooby-Doo Mystery for Sega Genesis was developed by Illusions Gaming Company and published by Acclaim in 1995; it was the original release of this version, with a separate SNES version also released in 1995.

About Scooby-Doo Mystery

Scooby-Doo Mystery presents two distinct cases structured as interactive episodes. In one scenario, the group investigates a spectral chieftain haunting a ski hotel after the owner is taken. The other case involves a phantom clown at a carnival, where several friends become trapped and machinery is sabotaged.

Gameplay focuses on clue gathering and puzzle solving, primarily through the duo of Shaggy and Scooby-Doo. The player typically directs Shaggy through environments, selecting actions from a menu to interact with objects and piece information together. Progress can be saved using a password system.

Each mystery separates the characters, leaving Shaggy and Scooby to explore and resolve the supernatural threats on their own. The interface is built around navigation and context-sensitive commands, framing the experience as a point-and-click adventure.
