About Mighty Morphin Power Rangers

Mighty Morphin Power Rangers on the Sega Genesis adapts the television series into a fighting game format. Players engage in one-on-one combat, with a primary scenario where the Rangers face a series of opponents sent by Rita Repulsa.

The available characters extend beyond the core team. In addition to the five Rangers, the defeated Green Ranger joins the roster, and battle mode further includes select monsters and Zords for versus play, though certain matchups like Zords against Rangers are restricted.

Combat involves two main attack buttons and a blocking system. Defensive options range from a standard block to a more powerful version that can repel projectiles. Each fighter possesses unique special moves executed through specific button combinations.

Scenario matches follow a two-phase structure. After an initial round against a monster, the battle continues against a larger version of that foe, requiring the Ranger to pilot their Megazord. The Green Ranger instead summons the Dragonzord for this second phase.
