About James Pond 2: Codename: RoboCod

James Pond 2: Codename: RoboCod is a side-scrolling platformer where the protagonist's mission is to recover stolen toys. The antagonist, Dr. Maybe, has taken these items, which define the various themed worlds players explore, including areas based on candy, sporting goods, and aircraft.

Level progression requires collecting two penguins and locating an exit, though multiple exits and hidden zones encourage exploration. The core movement mechanic involves a stretching device, allowing the character to extend upward to see new areas or latch onto ceilings to slide across them. While movement is primarily horizontal, some vertical traversal is possible.

The game's structure groups levels into pairs of worlds, each containing three sub-levels. After completing such a pair, a boss encounter follows. This creates a fair and predictable pacing for the adventure.
