About Haunting Starring Polterguy

In "Haunting Starring Polterguy," players control the spirit of a teenager whose objective is to frighten a family until they abandon their home. The core mechanic involves possessing household items, which then exhibit supernatural behavior such as moving or launching projectiles.

Action is constrained by an energy system called ecto, which depletes while the ghost is active. This resource is replenished by successfully scaring inhabitants, with larger payouts occurring when they flee the room. If ecto is fully exhausted, the player is forced into an underworld area to recover energy before returning.

Since the family cannot perceive the ghost directly, all scares must be orchestrated through environmental interaction. This creates a challenging dynamic of managing energy while strategically triggering frights across different rooms.
