About Death Duel

Death Duel is a tactical shooter that combines first-person combat with side-scrolling movement. The player controls Barrett Jade, a Federation pilot operating a giant cyborg in a future where territorial conflicts are resolved through lethal single combat.

Gameplay is structured around sequential duels against representatives of nine rival galactic powers. Each round is time-limited and requires identifying an opponent's specific weaknesses, as they can take cover behind battlefield structures. Success depends on selecting an effective loadout from available weapons like missiles, rockets, and a machine gun, with only three weapons accessible during a fight. Managing ammunition and the clock makes the pacing challenging.

Resource management occurs between battles, where currency earned can be spent on repairs and arming the cyborg. Additional funds can be secured through brief gallery shooting segments that serve as intermissions between the main duels. The overarching objective is to win these fights to reclaim control of vital flight paths for the Federation.
