About World Champ

World Champ is a boxing title for the NES that shares notable design elements with Ring King from Data East. Victory can be achieved by scoring a knockout or by accumulating more points than the opponent when the final round concludes.

Players engage by maneuvering their boxer to strike with various punches, including jabs, hooks, and uppercuts. A primary single-player option involves progressing through a ranking system across four weight divisions, improving a boxer's attributes en route to a title bout.

Multiplayer is supported through a direct versus match for two participants. The game also facilitates a tournament structure that can accommodate up to eight players in a bracket format.
