About The Uncanny X-Men

The Uncanny X-Men is an overhead action game where players select a duo of heroes from a roster of six to oppose Magneto. These characters fall into two distinct combat styles: some employ long-range attacks, while others must engage enemies at close quarters.

Each mission requires locating and destroying a concealed command center. Characters have a limited health pool and will be defeated after taking a set number of hits. If both selected X-Men are defeated, the player can choose another pair to continue, creating a challenging attrition system where all available heroes can be exhausted.

The gameplay is modified by collectible items. Beneficial power-ups can grant temporary invincibility, restore health, or freeze time. A detrimental power-down, symbolized by Magneto's icon, can temporarily immobilize the characters.
