Compete in singles or doubles matches using low and high shots across four difficulty levels.

The NES version of Tennis was released in 1985 in North America and Japan (as a launch title for the Famicom in 1983, but the NES platform version is 1985). The original arcade game was released in 1984.

About Tennis

Tennis adapts the sport for the Nintendo Entertainment System, allowing for matches against computer opponents or another human. The game implements standard tennis scoring and sets.

Players execute different shot types, such as volleys and lobs, with specific buttons controlling low and high hits. Movement is handled separately, enabling forehand and backhand strokes during play.

Opponents can be faced in solo play against one of four AI difficulty levels, or via a two-player link cable connection. This provides a range of competitive options from fair to challenging encounters.
